A very warm welcome to 'Les Quatre Vents' situated in the unique and unspoilt location of Dungeness Kent.

'Les Quatre Vents' sits in a completely private position set within the confines of the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch miniature Railway that terminates about 100 yards from our cottage. The station has a small tearoom and provides meals.

'Les Quatre Vents' is set off the beaten track and is just a few minutes walk from the beach and Old Lighthouse.

The landscape is famously the setting for the late artist and film director Derek Jarman and his shingle garden, described by him as both 'Gethsemane' and 'Eden'. Derek Jarman's 'Prospect Cottage' beach garden is made up of local materials, driftwood, flints with splashes of color, stones and shells of interest. All of which makes the area unique.

The area supports over 600 different species of both 'flora' and 'fauna'. The area is a designated national nature reserve, and special area for conservation, a large RSPB centre with shop and observation platform is well worth a visit.

There is also an opportunity for you fishermen, as you have the chance of sea fishing trips provided locally on the estate.

Golfers are also provided for by the local golf courses both again local one in Greatstone and the other in Lydd.

Miles of shingle beach make Dungeness the perfect getaway for mud free walks with your furry friend.

The local airport, supports a flying school, along with pleasure flights of the local area.

All amenities shops, public houses and restaurant are all locally placed to the area.

'Les Quatre Vents' is a non-smoking establishment and we thank you all for respecting this.
